Raping An Eight Year Old, Landed me in Jail: See Full Story

I met a friend late last year and we got talking. One thing led to the other, Relationship talks became the dominant topic.
When he told me his story, I could't believe it but it is so true.

Sexual Abuse can happen in anyway, by anyone.

We must develop a close bond with the people we love and always give them room to explain their actions, mostly when it is unusual.

Thi House Boy Abused 7 year Old Children in his care: Story Narrated by the girl

Note: This is a true story.  The names have been changed so that it does not directly affect image of the owner of the story.

My name is Adanne, the first child and daughter of my parents.
As a child, I experienced domestic abuse from my father's apprentices and our neighbour's house boy.

I will start with my father's boy. His name is Uche. I was still in primary school then, about 7 to 9 years.

It all started on night, when my parents went to pay acondolence visit to our neighbour who lost his father.
I was in the palour with Chimezie when the power went off and everywhere was dark.
He called out my name and asked me not to move so that he could get to me and take me along with him to get the candles.
I did as he said.
We got the candles and matches, came back and sat in the palour still in darkness. I could not figure out why he refused to light the candles.

After some minutes,  he took my hand and rested it on his laps. Then he made me to  fumble with his body from his waist down. (Here she started to cry as she spoke).
He even forcefully put his sexual organ into my mouth, such that I was almost choking.

Then I started to cry and he stopped. He quickly dried my tears and was making some promises that I can not remember.  For some reasons, I agreed with him, not to tell anyone.

This continued to happen for so long until one day, he stole from my father and he was sent away.

Then, I always had sour in my mouth. If I showed my mother, she will scold at me, saying that I should stop using other children's cups and spoon in school.
She also applied penicillin ointment on the sour, and made me to swallow vitamin c syrup.

The House Boy Story:

On The Diarist Notes :About Domestic Child Abuse

Today is a very important day to me.

It is quite exciting not just because I am starting this diary but because I have supports and I see in the eyes of everyone I have spoken to, that they are scared of the unknown.

By the grace oif God, over 30 people have told their stories and more are yet to be reached.

It is not an easy task to convince a youth or a mother to tell their stories. Alot of them made me cry. One thing I know is that I will tell their stories - which is our learning tool.

We need to understand the trend, the signs, the uncertainty,  the symptoms, the importance of friends and family.

For to-be parents,  young parents,  everyone else, learn, use and share.

Things like this must be checked and stopped.

Thank you for your support. #ibreakthesilence #Diaryofchildabuse #loving

A Sexual Abuse story about a 5 year Old Girl

This is a true story about a seven year old who suffered sexual abuse by her uncle for eight months. The names are not same as in the real story. There is a slight change in the story line. This has been done to save the image of the family and childWe have made this as simple as possible and hope it will send the right message. You can post you comment here and on the forum, on how you think the mother should relate with her brother henceforth.#ibreakthesilence

On A Welcome Note

A group of friends went to hang out, I was invited. Among us was a teacher who started to share a story on how a parent was embarrassed in her school that day.

A parent was summoned because her 4 year old daughter was caught exhibiting a sexual assault on a fellow 4 year old girl in the toilet attached to her classroom.

When the child was questioned, she said that their house help does the same to her

The mother wept and kept asking the daughter why she never told her.

We were almost ten of us hanging out and every one of us had a story or two to tell about being abused or knowing someone that was abused as a child.

And I started to ask, why did the parents not notice? Why has it happened to too many people and why is it still happening to the children today?

Are people not speaking up?

At least 3 out of 5 children  between 1 to 10 years is being molested or raped everyday. Whose fault is it anyway?

Why are their voices not heard?.

If you have a story or If you have a remedy or an advice on how children can speak up. Please join this forum.

You words and advice will help us #ibreakthesilence for children and create materials that can easily pass the message across.

We will publish different stories, everyday and we need you best advice to #ibreakthesilence.
