A group of friends went to hang
out, I was invited. Among us was a teacher who started to share a story on how
a parent was embarrassed in her school that day.
A parent was summoned because
her 4 year old daughter was caught exhibiting a sexual assault on a fellow 4
year old girl in the toilet attached to her classroom.
When the child was questioned,
she said that their house help does the same to her
The mother wept and kept asking
the daughter why she never told her.
We were almost ten of us
hanging out and every one of us had a story or two to tell about being abused
or knowing someone that was abused as a child.
And I started to ask, why did
the parents not notice? Why has it happened to too many people and why is it
still happening to the children today?
Are people not speaking up?
At least 3 out of 5 children
between 1 to 10 years is being molested or raped everyday. Whose fault is
it anyway?
Why are their voices not
heard?.
